HOPE FOR WHEN YOU ARE LOST

I watched the new Karate Kid for the 1st time last night. Jackie Chan's character said;

"There is a difference between being still and doing nothing."

It reminded me that though we "BE STILL" and "WAIT ON THE LORD," it doesn't mean we sit idle and do nothing.

We prepare in waiting for God to open opportunities.

  1. Myself personally I had no clue that I was "lost" two years ago. What I mean when I say that is the wisdom over time that I have gain has given me a whole lot of insight about life. There were times I thought being a "Christian" was just believing in Jesus. Until, I understood being a Christian is just not believing. The Bible says, "faith without works is dead". I never understood what that truly meant. Until, I got more engage in reading the Bible and going to church more often and being involved in other ministries in/outside of church. So I would say I was "lost" during that time in my life because I might have thought or believed I was a "Christian" but I was not living as one. The Bible talks about, "Being imitators of Christ--- being the light of the world--- not being conformed to the things of this world--- being "holy" as He is Holy." Now that I know more than what I did before, I'm constantly seeking to become more mature and grow (closer) in my relationship with God.

  3. Now I understand God had a purpose of why he created me, I can continue to serve that purpose. It's amazing because I never knew the true meaning behind the "Amazing Grace" hymn, now that I can say in my walk with Christ, where I was years ago, I am no longer there today. Like the song says, I was "lost" but now ...I'm found. (Nobody, but God)

  4. The expression was much needed today. It's something to have ability and not know exactly what to do with it. Following God always brings insight bringing out the true nature. Ya dig? Some things about ourselves must be returned, resharpened, recycled, and renewed. Being still brings back focus instead of running in so many directions at one time...1John 5:4...BG
